Thankyou to Jim goes solo for information.
Starts at 8. Goes on way past 11. The general turnout is folk, but there has been funk, soul, pop, rap, emo and me before. It all just depends on the electricity thing really.
The Grand Hotel is on the leas. They have an acoustic open mic night on the first wednesday of every month. Its in the bar to the side, so if you're looking up the stairs to the main entrance, go right and there is a gate and a path to a bar.
It's run by Leo Carlisle. 10/15 minute slots generally, good atmosphere.

Well...actually, it's local Live music in Kent and Medway, but you get the idea...
